Chaotic Good. I adventure at the intersection of politics, pop culture, and technology. The storylines are fantastical.
I’ve rolled for initiative across some pretty wild quests: co-founding the defence tech unicorn Rebellion Defense, launching the government business for metaverse unicorn Improbable, and grinding as a venture capitalist. Before that, I served as deputy director for digital, data, and technology in the UK civil service. In an earlier campaign, I was a civilian intelligence officer embedded with the British Army, advising two commanders of Task Force Helmand and trying not to violate the Prime Directive.
In a parallel universe, I spent a decade questing with Oxford University’s Changing Character of War Centre, co-founded the Routledge Advances in Defence Studies series, and warped over to the University of Southern California’s Center on Public Diplomacy as a senior visiting fellow. These days, I maintain an honorary fellowship at the University of Exeter and a visiting fellowship at McGill University.
